Zulpha is an Islamic matrimonial app operated by Quantum Rise Consulting LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Zulpha iOS and Android apps and related services.
1. Information you give us
| Data | Why we collect it |
|---|---|
| Account details (name, email address, phone number, password) | To create and secure your account and sign you in. |
| Profile details (date of birth, gender, height, marital status, education, profession, ethnicity, languages, bio) | To build your matrimonial profile and match you with suitable prospects. |
| Faith details (practice level, sect/madhhab, prayer frequency, dress preferences, Halal Mode setting) | Core matching criteria — Zulpha matches on shared deen. |
| Marriage intent (timeline, what you are looking for, age range) | To match people with comparable seriousness and intentions. |
| Photos, voice intros and video intros | To display your profile to prospective matches, subject to your Halal Mode setting. |
| Wali / family member details (name, phone number, relationship) that you enter | To invite your guardian to the Family Panel. Only invite someone who has agreed to be contacted. |
| Messages and salams you send in the app | To deliver your conversations and to investigate abuse reports. |
| Questions you ask the AI assistant ("Ask the Mufti") | To generate a response and keep your conversation history. |
2. Face scan (Firasa and verification)
If you choose to use Firasa or photo verification, the app uses your device camera to capture a short face scan. Face detection runs on your device using Google ML Kit. The scan confirms that a real, present person is using the account and generates an indicative Firasa reading.
3. Information collected automatically
- Location — with your permission, to show nearby matches and enable location-based search. Zulpha does not track your location in the background.
- Device and diagnostic data — device model, operating system, app version, crash logs and performance data, via Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics.
- Usage data — actions such as likes, matches and screens visited, to operate and improve the service.
- Purchase data — subscription and in-app purchase records, so we can unlock the features you paid for.
4. We do not track you
Zulpha does not use the App Tracking Transparency framework and does not track you across other companies' apps and websites. Facebook automatic event logging and advertiser-ID collection are explicitly disabled in the app. We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with data brokers for advertising.
5. Who we share data with
- Other users — your profile, and only what your Halal Mode settings allow. Photos stay hidden until you both connect when Halal Mode is on.
- Your Wali / Family Panel — only the information you choose to share with them.
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, storage, messaging and crash reporting.
- Sign-in providers you choose — Apple, Google or Facebook, solely to authenticate you.
- Google Maps — to power location features.
- Apple App Store and Google Play — to process subscriptions and purchases. We never receive your full card details.
- DeepSeek — questions you send to "Ask the Mufti" are processed by DeepSeek to generate an answer.
- Legal requests — where we are legally required to disclose information, or to protect users from harm.
6. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account — Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your profile, photos, matches and messages.
- Permissions — camera, photos, microphone, location and notifications can each be refused or revoked in your device settings.
- Halal Mode — control whether your photos are visible before connecting.
- Access and correction — you can edit your profile at any time in the app.
- Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object to processing, restrict it, or request a copy of your data.
7. Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, matches and messages are deleted. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for a short period before being overwritten. Limited records may be retained where the law requires it, or to prevent fraud and abuse.
8. Children
Zulpha is for adults seeking marriage and is not intended for anyone under 18. We delete accounts we learn belong to minors.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit, authenticated access to our systems, and the platform security controls provided by Firebase. No service can promise perfect security, but we work to protect your information and to notify you where the law requires it.
11. Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and notify you in the app where appropriate.
